Morning Activities

Wilderness Skills

Today at Wilderness Skills, the boys competed in a Wood Finding Competition. In 1st period, we had The Stick Stews beat The Stick Stealers. In 2nd period, Ian’s Flaming Arrows cooked up Jimmy John’s Subs. In 3rd period, The Pinecone Plunderers beat George’s Green Grabbers. Lastly, in 4th period, MacGregor’s Slick Picker-Uppers beat Ben’s Wood Picker-Uppers.

Fun and Games

Today at Fun and Games, the girls came down and played some 9 Square In The Air. In 1st period, Madeline Walker was the MVP. In 2nd period, Carlton Keathley was the MVP. In 3rd period, Sibley Cilkas was the MVP. Lastly, in 4th period, Mayson Ferris was the winner.

The winner of the “ratta-tatta-ratta-tatta win a big ole cowboy hatta” was Carlton Keathley!

Skiing

Today at Upper Lake Skiing, the girls came and learned how two ride a kneeboard. Kylie Hornsby, Kate Mayer, Adelia Arnold, Anna Shaver, Adair Lower, Charlie Bracken, Evangeline Schmidt, Indie Gregg, Walker Searcy, and Neilee Moore all got up on a kneeboard, grabbed the rope, and rode a complete lap around the lake!

Team Sports

Today at Team Sports, the girls came down to the Camp Mac Fields and played some Barnyard Bonanza. In 1st period, the Red Team won. In 2nd period, the Red Team also won. In 3rd period, the Blue Team won. Lastly, in 4th period, we had a three way tie between the Red Team, Green Team, and Blue Team!

Today’s winner of the “winna winna chicken dinna” was Scarlett DeMedicis!

Riflery

Today at Riflery, the boys came down and shot some high scores!

Barrett Kimbell shot a 28. Benjamin Walker shot a 29. Ethanm Sebert shot a 28 and a 29. Alexander Kinney shot a 29. Rex Hirsch shot. 28. Reed Parker shot a 25 and a 27. William McEvoy shot a 25 and a 32. Felipe Acosta shot a 25. Setting a new high score for the summer was Reed Blackstock, shooting a whopping 34!

Electives

Tramps

Today for Electives, B-2 and G-1 had Tramps and we did a high jump competition. For the boys, the winner was Reid Parker and for the girls, the winner was Amelie Ray.

Bucking Bull

Today at the Bucking Bull, the B-5 Cowboys came down and we had a Longest Rider Competition. In 3rd place was Alexander Kinney with a time of 45.7 seconds. In 2nd place was Jackson Knighton with a time of 48.2 seconds. Finally in 1st was Laurens Smith with a time of 50.8 seconds!

The girls of G-0 also showed off their skills at the Bucking Bull today. In 3rd place for Best Rider was Nora Griffin with a time of 34 seconds. In 2nd place was Evangeline Schmidt with a time of 37 seconds. And in 1st place with an impressive 44 seconds was Remi Burt!

League Games

Today on Court 1, Lucy’s Lightning Lions obliterated Mary Carter’s Cool Crew. From the Lions, Mary Ellen Clement played like a young Brady Meadows. From the Cool Crew, Skylee Zwiebel played swimmingly.

On the shady Court 2, Ivey’s Stars demolished Caroline’s Crazy Cats in a nail biting game of Newcomb. On the Stars, Lawson Kimbrel played like a young Mack Marston. On the Crazy Cats, Carlton Keathley played like the craziest cat.

On the insanely bug sprayed Field 1, Gabby’s Bubble Guppies kicked Katie’s Cool Campers out of the park in a gnarly game of Kickball. From the Bubble Guppies, Caroline Brignac played like the bubbliest of guppies. From the Cool Campers, Mayson Ferris played like the coolest camper at Camp Mac.

On Field 2, Mary Drue’s Fabulous Flamingos beat Sarah Neal’s Slayers in a nail biting game of Kickball. On the Flamingos, Kate Hutto played like the most fabulous flamingo to ever exist. On the Slayers, Ann Colin Beevers played like the biggest slayer at Camp Mac.

In the sweaty gymnasium, Bea’s Lightning Bolts dominated Claire’s Carebears in a close game of Bombardment. For the Carebears, Kingsley Crawford played crazily. For the Lightning Bolts, Harleigh Honea played like a young Benji Sokol.

Cabin Time

Fishing

Today for Cabin Time, B-5 came down to the Ole Camp Mac Fishing hole and reeled in some fish. Laurens Smith, Archer Green, Jackson Knighton, and Bennett Russell each caught 1 fish. Laurens and Bennett also kissed their fish.

Putt-Putt

Today B-2 came over to the Camp Mac Green and hit some balls. Landon Shah and James Garrett each got a hole in one. Reed Parker won a game of Knock-Out and Jax Bloodworth won in the Closest To The Hole Competition.

From the Dining Hall This morning, we had Bacon, Eggs, Grits, Biscuits, and Assorted Cereals.  For lunch, Chicken Sandwiches with Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Potato Chips, and Oatmeal Raisin Cookies.  And to end the day, we had Potato Chips and cooked Hotdogs, Baked Beans, and S'Mores over the fire at Cookouts. 

Tonight for Night Rec...

We had Cookouts!
