Today at Riflery, the girls came down and shot some high scores. Audrey Sheppard shot a 30, Becca Dark shot a 31, Lena Daley shot a 27 and a 29, Auden Rainer shot a 28, Kathleen Wilkinson shot a 27, Anna Harrison McGehee shot a 33, Sofie Bynum shot a 28, Bella Wakstein shot a 31, Marion Haskell shot a 32, Kenzie Summers shot a 30, and Elizabeth Rigrish shot a 40, setting the new high for the summer!
Today at the pool, the Rookies, Varsity, and Hotshots competed in the Funny Dive Contest. From the Rookies, Jett Gucker won. From the Hotshots, Declan McTear won. From Varsity, Mack Marston won. Varsity also competed in the Stride Jump Contest and the winners were Ian Sweeney and Marshall Cummings. JV competed in the Australian Relay and Brady and Jake’s Unnamed Team lost not only once, but twice to Sarah and Chippy’s Swag Team that finally broke Brady’s numerous year undefeated streak.
Today the girls came down to High Falls and caught some animals. From the Wranglers, Katherine Tuten caught a crawfish and from the Rough Riders, Rylie Andrews also caught a crawfish.
Today at Fun and Games, the boys came down to the Bucking Bull and we had some Top Riders. From the Hotshots, Ledge Searcy stayed on for 58 seconds and the best “Yeehaw” went to Al Smyly. From Varsity, the top rider was Hails Austin with a time of 1 minute and 33 seconds and the best “Yeehaw was George Newman. From the Rookies, Will Perez stayed on for 1 minute and 52 seconds and the best “Yeehaw” was Bennett Kirk. From JV, the Top Rider was Murray Seifert with a time of 1 minute and 3 seconds and the best “yeehaw” was Jeb Braxton. Today’s winner of the “ratta-tatta-ratta-tatta win a big ole cowboy hatta” was Lee Miller!
Today at Team Sports, we played some Basketball. The winners were the Danger Noodles and Emily’s Really Athletic Children and the MVPs were Sam Taylor and Bruce Downey. We also played some Knockout and the winners were Joseph Roads, Wells Simmons, Matthew Wills, and Mack Marston. Today’s winner of the “winna winna chicken dinna” was Henri Schoenvogel.
Today at Upper Lake, the boys came down and passed off some classes and we also had some first time skiers. From Varsity, Hails Austin passed off 2nd Class Wakeboarding, Walker Snyder passed off 3rd Class Skiing, and Mac Schoenvogel passed off 3rd Class Kneeboarding. From the Rookies, Jett Gucker and Joseph Rhodes both got up on skis for the first time. From JV, Sammy Crumpton and Vann Dawson-Flanagin passed off 3rd Class Skiing. Michael Madigan also got up on skis for the first time. From the Hotshots, Price Williams passed off 3rd Class Wakeboarding and Ledge Searcy passed off 3rd Class Skiing. Ledge Searcy also got up one skis for the first time!
Today at Lower Lake, we had a fantastic time. Thomas Haygood passed off 3rd Class Kneeboarding. Yesterday, the girls came down and passed off some classes. Anna Harrison McGehee passed off 3rd Class Skiing and Helen Hinton passed off 2nd Class Kneeboarding. We also had a couple first time skiers. Sofie Bynum and Olive Quinn got up on skis for the first time!
Today on the Captain’s Boat, AKA Court 1, Fiedler’s bananas sunk Jimmy’s Jocks. From the Bananas, Bennett Kirk was our captain Jack Sparrow. From Jimmy’s Jocks, Miles Cummings played like he was escaping Davy Jones’ Locker.
Today on the Sweaty Court 2, Boon’s Big Ballerz balled out against Rylee’s Righteous Royals. From the Ballerz, Sam Taylor played like the biggest baller on the team. From the Royals, Rob Lee played like a certified G.O.A.T.
On the one and only Field 1, Sig’s Silly Salmons flopped all over Gray’s Anatomy. From the Salmons, Sammy Crumpton was clutch like Steph Curry. From Gray’s Anatomy, Hank Stone played like a boulder.
On Field 2, Zachary’s Zesty Zebras stampeded James’ Giraffes. From the Giraffes, Jack Bright played like a giraffe that was good at Softball. From the Zebras, Ian Sweeney played like a zebra that was good at Softball.
In the Old Camp Mac Gym, Charlie’s Gnarly’s took the dub against Colin’s Comets in an intense game of Bombardment. From the Gnarly’s, Henri Schoenvogel played like the gnarliest Charlie. From the Comets, Parker Quinn played like a young John Martin.
Today for Cabin Time, G-3 came down to the Ole Camp Mac Fishing Hole and Brooke Livermore caught a turtle.
Today we had a crazy kayaking race! In second place was Connor Pilger and our winner was Eli Bowen.
Today at Girls’ Shooting Sports, the girls came down and learned how to shoot some clays. Sarah Neal DePiano shot 2/6 targets, Vivi Frazier shot 2/6, Eleanor Adkins shot 1/6, Kate Fitzpatrick shot 5/6, Bella Brothers shot 1/6, Ro Dawson-Flanagin shot 0/6, Maddie Frerman shot 0/6, Clarkie Wilkinson shot 3/6, Mary Drue Cobb shot 3/6, Lucy Palmer shot 1/6, Merritt Williams shot 3/6, and Annabelle Lewis shot 1/6.
The boys also came down and shot some targets today. Mack Marston hit 13/16, Mack Pinel hit 7/16, McGregor Tuten hit 9/16, Hails Austin hit 11/16, Jack Bright hit 7/16, Marshall Cummings hit 13/16, Benji Sokol hit 3/16, Ian Sweeney hit 11/16, Mac Schoenvogel hit 5/16, and Max Montgomery hit 10/16
From the Dining Hall This morning, we had the famous Camp Mac Breakfast. For lunch, we had chicken nuggets and grilled cheeses with chocolate chip cookies. And to end the day, we had Beef Stroganoff with Spiced Apples, English Peas, Rolls and a Salad Bar.
