Morning Activities

Fun and Games

Today at Fun and Games, the boys came down and did the Ultimate Waterfront. In 1st place was second period with a time of 20 minutes and 20 seconds. In 2nd place was Declan’s period with 21 minutes and 56 seconds. And in 3rd place was third period with a time of 22 minutes and 21 seconds.

The winner of the “ratta-tatta-ratta-tatta win a big ole cowboy hatta” was Brock Wallace!

Riflery

Today at Riflery, we had some girls show off their sharpshooter abilities, passing off classes and shooting some high scores! We also had a new high score for the Summer today with Fair Taylor shooting an impressive 47!

Skiing

Today at Skiing, we had some boys pass off classes. Graham Newsom passed off 3rd and 2nd Class Wakeboarding and Rex Gucker passed off 3rd Class Wakeboarding.

Team Sports

Today at Team Sports, we played some Flag Football with the boys! In 1st period with JV, Tilghman’s Team won. In 2nd period with Varsity, Tilghman’s Team won again. Lastly, in 3rd period with the Hotshots, Julia’s Team won.

The winner of the “winna winna chicken dinna” was Marshall Cummings!

Horseback

Today at Horseback, we had the girls come over to the Barn to do some Barrel Racing and Cow Soccer!

From the Rough Riders, our winner was Claire Wright with a time of 24.17 seconds on Chuck. In 2nd was Miller Cox also on Chuck with a time of 24.57 seconds. In 3rd was Emerson Denham with a time of 25.11 seconds on Frank. As for Cow Soccer, Sophie’s group won with 132 points!

From the Drovers, Julia Downey won with a time of 30.44 seconds on Kitty. In 2nd was Parker Leatherbury with a time of 32.31 seconds on Kitty. Finishing in 3rd was Mary Ellen Badham with a time 32.5 seconds on Kitty. For Cow Soccer, Jackson’s Group won with 46 points!

From the Wranglers, Vivian Austin won on Chuck with a time of 24.81 seconds. Following in 2nd was Mary Lee Burkhalter with a time of 28.66 seconds on Frank. In 3rd was Lucy Hubbard on Chuck again with a time of 29.2 seconds. For Cow Soccer, Sophie’s group barely took the win in a close matchup with 65 points!

Yesterday, the boys also came over to the Barn and did Barrel Racing and Cow Soccer. From the Rough Riders, Jack Bright won with a time of 22.32 seconds on Chuck. In 2nd was Crawford Badham with time of 23.30 seconds on Chuck. Finishing off in 3rd was Brock Wallace on Gizzard with a time of 23.74 seconds. As for Cow Soccer, Sophie’s group won with 120 points!

From the Drovers, Rex Gucker won with a time of 32.8 seconds on Chuck. Following in 2nd was Alex Thuston with a time of 33.3 seconds on Chuck. In 3rd was Jack Taylor on Kitty with a time of 36.8 seconds. For Cow Soccer, Jackson’s group won with 59 points!

From the Wranglers, our winner was Thomas Hagood on Chuck with a time of 27.2 seconds. In 2nd was Flynn Dickson with a time of 27.4 seconds on Chuck. And in 3rd was Jack Price with a time of 28.3 seconds on Chuck. For Cow Soccer, Schmidt’s group won with 114 points!

Electives

Tramps

Today at Tramps, the boys had a great time and Judson Mallory passed off 1st Class.

The girls also bounced over to Tramps and had a great time. Elizabeth Downey passed off 1st Class.

Yesterday at Tramps, we had a lot of girls passing off classes! Elizabeth Downey, Cheney Humphreys, and Lucy Hubbard all passed off 3rd and 2nd class. Mae Margaret Reed passed off 2nd and 1st Class. Fair Taylor, Rivers Bell and Kathleen Wilkinson passed off 1st Class.

Putt-Putt

Today at Putt-Putt, we had the Green and White Tournament and the Green Team with Pierson Kirk, Everett Kuo, and Jack Taylor won! Everett Kuo had the lowest score of the day.

Yesterday at Putt-Putt, the boys had a Hole in One Competition. Charlie Cox got 8, David Roberts got 14, Pierson Kirk got 14, Jackson Taylor got 1, Everett Kuo got 11, and Callan Rainer got 7.

Fishing

Today at the Camp Mac Fishing Hole, Matthew Wills caught 3 fish and kissed 2, Matt Vosburg caught 1 fish, and Jack Price caught 1 fish.

Shooting Sports

Today at Shooting Sports, the boys shot some clays. Vann Dawson Flanagin shot 8/24. Ian Baldassarri hit 17/24. Harrison Walker hit 14/24. Max Montgomery hit 10/24. Jeb Braxton hit 14/24. Hampton Long hit 11/24. Graham Sims hit 14/24. Carter Pritchett hit 6/24.

At Girls Shooting Sports, we had some Sharpshooters. Rylie Andrews hit 6/14. Rosie Gregory 9/14. Mary Stuart Strom 2/14. Maddie Frerman hit 6/14. Lena Daley hit 5/16. Merritt Williams hit 8/14. Lila Mattei hit 8/14. Anna Harrison McGehee hit 7/14. Penelope Hudgins hit 7/14. Caroline Wyatt hit 12/14.

League Games

Today in a back and forth game of Softball for Steaks, Ian’s Iron Eagles swept MacGregor’s Monkeys. On the Monkeys, Jack Bright played like King Kong. On the Iron Eagles, Declan McTear played like the greatest Iron Eagle ever.

From the Dining Hall This morning, we had Bacon, Eggs, Grits, Biscuits, and Assorted Cereals.  For lunch, we had Hot Dogs and French Fries with a Salad Bar. For Dessert, we had Chocolate Chip Cookies.  And to end the day, we had BBQ Chicken and BBQ Ribs with Potato Salad,  Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, and Garlic Toast. For Dessert, we had Red, White, and Blue Cupcakes!
