Today at Swimming, we had a Synchronized Swimming Competition. In 1st period with the Hotshots, Team Opera Manics won. Ion 2nd period with JV, The Enchanted Group won. Lastly, in 3rd period with Varsity, The Haunted Group won.
Earlier in the week, we also had Mile Swim Qualifications. Swimmers had to tread water for 20 minutes and swim for 15 minutes. Here are our Qualifiers for the 2023 Camp Mac Mile Swim.
For the girls, we had Avery Wiard, Caroline Wyatt, Helen Hinton, Amelie Pazona, Anne Frances Kinney, Miller Cox, Hadley Harris, Hayden Butler, Lauren Lee, Maddie Frerman, Mark Brook Wills, Reese Magid, Elizabeth Downey, Anna Harrison McGehee, and Maggie Moore.
For the boys, we had Crawford Badham, Graham Sims, Hails Austin, Ian Baldassarri, Jack Bright, Marshall Cummings, Walker Snyder, Mason Lark, Lassiter Silsbee, Flynn Dickson, Vann Dawson Flanagin, Hampton Long, John Clarke Gentle, Murray Seifert, and Rafa Johnson.
Today we had the Famous Camp Mac Scavenger Hunt. In 1st period, our winners were Lucy Anderson and Rivers Bell. In 2nd period, our winners were Jensen McClendon and Rosie Gregory. In 3rd period, our winners were Caroline Lorberbaum and Abby Steele.
The winner of the “ratta-tatta-ratta-tatta win a big ole cowboy hatta” was Annie Carrington!
Today at Riflery, we had a Shootout Tournament against the counselors and and Mack Gunn was our winner, defeating one of our JCs at Riflery, Zach Cater.
We also had some high scores and boys passing off classes. Price Williams shot a 40. Flynn Dickson shot a 42. Tyler Frith shot a 45. Levi McClendon shot a 40. Jett Gucker shot a 36. Henry Vosburg shot a 35. Marshall Cummings shot a 41. Jeb Braxton shot a 37. Walker Snyder shot a 38. Ian Baldassarri shot a 40. Graham Sims shot a 45. Henry Weaver shot a 42. Miles Cummings shot a 36. As for the boys who passing off classes, Robert Doss, Rafa Johnson, James Mitchell, and Everett Kuo all passed off Pro Marksman. Christian Gray and Mason Lark both passed off Marksman. Lastly, Flynn Dickson passed off Marksman 1st Class.
Today at Team Sports, we had Parkour Day with the girls!
The winner of the “winna winna chicken dinna” was Vivi Frazier!
Today at Lower Lake, we had a couple First Time Skiers and a lot of girls passing off classes. Our two First Time Skiers for the day were Britt Harris and Claire Wright!! Jensen McClendon, Marie Burke, and Brady Wall all passed off 3rd Class Kneeboarding. Annabelle Lewis passed off 2nd Class Kneeboarding,. Amelie Pazona, Marie Burke, Brady Wall, and Cheney Humphreys all passed off 3rd Class Skiing.
Today at Power Boating, the boys came down to took their Practical Test and they all passed! Max Montgomery scored a 20/25. Charlie Silsbee got a 20/25. Brock Wallace got a 21/25. Bob Meadow got a 20/25. Rafa Johnson got a 22/25.
The girls also took their Practical Test today during Electives and they all passed as well! Lena Daley got a 21.5/25. Caroline Wyatt got a 23/25. Lila Mattei got a 20.5/25. Penelope Huggins got a 20/25. Baylen Boyles got a 20.2/25. Ginny Voss got a 21/25. Mattie Brown got a 21.5/25. Olivia Vosburg got a 23/25. Morgan Sessions got a 21.
We also had one special guest join us this week and that was one of our nurses, Ms. Elienna, and she also passed with a 20.5!
Today on the Scorching Court 1, Gray’s Anatomy Season 2 beat Zach’s Zebras in a quick game of Volleyball. From the Anatomy, William Sims played like the better Sims. From the Zebras, Mack Gunn played like a young Jackson Pipkin.
Today on Court 2, Mack-Gregor’s Monkeys squashed Benji’s Big Steppas in a classic game of Bump, Set, Spike AKA Volleyball. From the Monkeys, Adam DePiano played like a Baboon. From the Big Steppas, Crawford Badham played like Kobe Bryant.
Today on the Radical Field 1, Basil’s Burritos absolutely folded the Trash Frogs in a crazy game of Softball. From the Burritos, Rafa Johnson played like a burtrito with extra cheese. From the Trash Frogs, Henri Schoenvogel played like a TRUE Trash Frog.
Today on the Windy Field 2, Bruce and George’s Curious Georges swung on Ian’s Iron Eagles in a tight game of Softball. From the Curious Georges, James Mitchell played like the Wizard of Ozz. From the Eagles, Hampton Long played like a kid whose last name is long.
From the Dining Hall This morning, we had French Toast with Powdered Sugar, Syrup, Bacon, Buttered Toast, and Assorted Cereal. For lunch, we had Turkey and Tuna Sandwiches with Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, Cheese, Potato Chips, and a Salad Bar. And to end the day, we had Pizza and Hot Wings with a Salad Bar. For Dessert, we had Chocolate Chip Cookies.
