2024 Parent Handbook

Morning Activities

Riflery

Today at Riflery, we started a Shootout Tournament! Micah McIntyre won for the Rough Riders, and the Drovers and Wranglers will finish the last round of their tournament later this week so stay tuned for that! We also had some boys pass off classes today. Crawford Badham and Miles Cummings both passed off Marksman 1st Class, and Marshall Cummings passed off Sharpshoot.

Fun and Games

Today at Fun and Games, the girls came down and played some Speed Putt, rode thew Bucking Bull, and battled it out in the Jousting Arena.

In 1st period, Lauren Lee finished Speed Putt in 5 minutes and 57 seconds and got 3 Hole in Ones. Maddie Freeman stayed on the Bull the longest with a time of 1 minute and 24 seconds, and Mary Lee Burkhalter had the best “Yee-Haw!”

In 2nd period, Jenson McClendon finished Speed Putt in 7 minutes and 47 seconds and got 1 Hole in One. Rosie Gregory stayed on the Bull the longest with a time of 56 seconds, and Annabelle Lewis had the best “Yee-Haw!”

In 3rd period, Abby Steele finished Speed Putt in 5 minutes and 9 seconds with 1 Hole in One. Fair Taylor stayed on the Bull the longest with a time of 2 minutes and 47 seconds, and Lizzie Gentle had the best “Yee-Haw!”

The winner of the “ratta-tatta-ratta-tatta win a big ole cowboy hatta” was Maddie Frerman!

Team Sports

Today at Team Sports, the girls came down to the Camp Mac Soccer Field. In 1st period, Tilghman’s Team won. In 2nd period, Tilghman’s Team won again. Lastly, In 3rd Period, Julia’s Team took the dub.

The winner of the “winna winna chicken dinna” was Lily Grace Longshore!

Skiing

Today at Upper Lake Skiing, we had some girls pass off classes. Annie Carrington passed off 3rd Class Kneeboarding. Fair Taylor and Julia Downey and Libby Nash passed off 2nd Class Kneeboarding. Lastly, Elizabeth Downey passed off Expert Wakeboarding.

At Lower Lake Skiing, we had an amazing day with 7 First Time Skiers! Mary Stuart Strom, Savannah Longshore, Rivers Bell, Cheney Humphreys, Kate Bright, Rylie Andrews, and Zoë Sweeney all got up on skis for the first time today! Mary Stuart Strom and Kate Bright also passed off 3rd Class Skiing.

Electives

Tramps

Today at Boys Tramps, we had a bunch of people passing off Classes. Everett Kuo, Jack Taylor, Mack Gunn, and Graham Newsom all passed off 3rd Class. Jackson Ward passed off 2nd Class.

The Girls also bounced on over to the Camp Mac Trampolines and passed off some classes as well. Sommers Thuston, Vianey Rios, Marie Burke, Mary Lee Burkhalter, and Pippin tarter all passed off 3rd Class. Vianey Rios, Marie Burke, Mary Lee Burkhalter, and Pippin Tarter all passed off 2nd Class.

We also had a couple Tramps announcements to finish out last week’s group. On Saturday, the boys played a game of Add-On and Bo Giordano was the winner. And last but certainly not least, Hayes Younger passed off Expert Tramps, making her the first AI of the summer!

League Games

Today on the Fiery Court 1, La Nay Nay’s Ladies BEAT Sarah Kate’s Corn Nuggets in a tie breaker game of Volleyball! On the Coren Nuggets, Lila Mattei played like a fried corn nugget. On La Nay Nay’s Ladies, Penelope Hudgins played like Justin Hudgins in his prime.

On the Sweaty Court 2, Kate’s Krispy Kremes demolished Ivey and Kate’s Inquisitive Poison Dart Frogs in a nail biting game of Volleyball. From the Krispy Kremes, Maggie Moore balled out. From the Frogs, Mary Lee Burkhalter played like the coolest kid on the court.

Today on the Really, Really Sunny Field Numero Uno, Bea’s Beasts swept Margaret’s Ten Musketeers in a great game of Softball. The scruffiest Musketeer was Ms. Kaygan Frith. From the Beasts, Allison Davis played amazingly awesome.

Today on the Hot and Sweaty Field 2, Gabby’s Great Billy Goats took the dub against Lucy’s LeapingB Leprechauns. From the Billy Goats, Elizabeth Downey played like a young Bruce Downey. From the Leprechauns, Lily Grace Longshore played like the Lucky Charms Leprechaun.

From the Dining Hall This morning, we had Pancakes with Bacon, Eggs, Grits, and Buttered Toast. For lunch, we had, we had Chicken Sandwiches with Fried and Grilled Chicken, Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, and Potato Chips. And to end the day, we had Spaghetti and Meat Sauce with Corn on the Cob, Garlic Toast, and a Salad Bar. For Dessert, we had Caramel Cake.
