Morning Activities

Swimming

Today at Swimming, we had the Qualifications for the Mile Swim. Qualifiers included Maggie Moore, Mary Stuart Strom, Hadley Harris, Anne Margret Wilkinson, Hayden Butler, Miller Cox, Ivey Marston, Hayden Wiard, McKaye Rogers, Clarkie Wilkinson, Mary Drue Cobbs, and Mary Brook Wills.

Riflery

Today at Riflery, we had the boys come down and shoot some high scores.

Fun and Games

Today at Fun and Games, the girls came down to Lower Lake and we played some Ultimate Waterfront! In 1st Place, with a time of 23 minutes to complete the all of the waterfront activities, Second Period won. 3rd Period followed close behind in 2nd Place with a time of 24 minutes. In 3rd Place, 1st Period finished with a time of 25 minutes. Today’s winner of the “ratta-tatta-ratta-tatta win a big ole cowboy hatta” was Avery Wiard!

Arts and Crafts

Today at Arts and Crafts, we had Derby Day! The Golden Car Winners from the Race were Ledge Searcy and Bob Meador. The Platinum Car Contestants will compete tomorrow during rest period: Ledge Searcy, Bob Meador, McGregor Tuten, Basil Zafiris, and Caven Burdick.

Team Sports

Today at Team Sports, we had Choice Day! JV played Newcomb and Merritt’s Mighty Minions defeated The Claire Bears. They also played a match of Volleyball and Merritt’s Mighty Minions beat The Claire Bears once again. The MVP of the period was Caroline Wyatt. For Varsity, the girls played Volleyball, and Hadley’s Hot Dogs defeated Ethan’s Birthday. They also played Bombardment and Ethan’s Birthday came back to beat Hadley’s Hot Dogs in an intense game. The MVP of the period was Hadley Harris.

Horseback

Today at Horseback, we had Barrel Racing and Cow Soccer! From the Rough Riders, George Newman came in 1st for the Barrel Races with a time of 23.13 seconds on Kitty. In 2nd was Mack Marston on Kitty with a time of 23.52 seconds. In 3rd was Mack Pinel on Chuck with a time of 24.38 seconds.

From the Drovers, Callan Rainer won with a time of 28.17 seconds on Chuck. In 2nd was Arthur Pouncey on Ziggy with a time of 31.41 seconds. In 3rd was Tyler Frith with time of 31.59 seconds on Kitty.

From the Wranglers, John Clark Gentle came in 1st with a time of 25.10 seconds on Kitty. In 2nd Place, Jackson Parter got a time of 25.12 seconds on White Sox. In 3rd was Lassiter Silsbee on White Sox with a time of 29.24 seconds.

Skiing

Today at Lower Lake, we had a great day. Anna Harrison McGhee passed off 2nd Class Skiing and Audrey Sheppard got up on skis for the first time!

League Games

On the Sunny Court 1, Margret’s Mountain Moose Pack slayed the day to another win against Rylan’s Rowdy Rhinos in a riveting game of Newcomb. From the Moose Pack, Kaygan Frith played like the best moose in England. From the Rhinos, Anne Karcher Williams played splendidly.

On the Shaded Court 2, Gabby’s Gators destroyed Sarah Kate’s Corn Dogs in a ferocious game of Volleyball. From the Corn Dogs, Zoe Sweeney played like the crunchiest corn dog in the batch with a side of fries. From the Gators, Amelie Pazona played like Steve Irwin’s worst nightmare.

On Field 1, the Emma Lou Whos came out with the dub against the Ford Wheelers. From the Ford Wheelers, Eleanor Adkins played like a squatted Ford Wheeler. From the Lou Whos, Clarkie Wilkinson played like “one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish.”

Electives

Tramps

Today at Tramps, the girls had a bouncy time and passed off some classes. Gracie Henderson, Rylie Andrews, Eden Hubbard, and Ro Dawson-Flanagin all passed off 3rd Class. Hayden Butler, Mary Stuart Strom, Reese Magid, and Kate Bright all passed off 3rd and 2nd Class. Lauren Lee and Miller Cox both passed off 3rd, 2nd, and 1st Class!

The Boys also came and passed off some classes. Crawford Badham, Levi McClendon, Charlie Silsbee, Jackson Ward, Thomas Hagood, Al Smyly, Colin Wilburn, Mason Lark, Murray Seifert, Robert Strange, and Dutch Williams all passed off 3rd Class!

Mountain Biking

Today at Mountain Biking, the boys came down and everyone passed their Trail Test!

Putt-Putt

Today at Putt-Putt, the boys came down to the Camp Mac Green and competed in a Dropout Contest and Hole In One Competition. The winner of the Dropout Contest was Henry Vosburg. Rafa Johnson and Hampton Long each got 6 Hole in Ones, Thomas Clay got 5, Hudson Brogan and Henry Vosburg each got 4, and Bob Meador and Callan Rainer each got 1.

From the Dining Hall This morning, we had the famous Camp Mac Breakfast.  For lunch, we had Chicken Nuggets and Grilled Cheeses with Chocolate Chip Cookies.  And to end the day, we had Salisbury Steak with Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Black Eyed Peas, Rolls, and a Salad Bar. 

Vespers

Last Year Campers, Kate Fitzpatrick and Sarah Neal DePiano gave our message tonight.

Tonight for Night Rec...

We had Movie Night!

6th, 7th, and 8th Graders watched Holes in the Rec Hall.

2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders watched Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers in the Little Theater.
