2024
Today, we started off the summer of 2024...and we couldn't have been more excited to welcome everyone back to camp! Everybody met their counselors, and got checked into their cabins.
Campers came down to the pool and everyone passed the swim test!
Today on Court 1 Mack's Masters came out on top against Marshall's Mysterious Martians in a nail-biting game of Newcomb. For the Martians, Aaron Ashbaker played like a young Aaron Rodgers, and for the Masters, Trent Cagle played flawlessly!
Meanwhile, on Court 2 Mac and James' Boogeymen beat Crawford's Golden Eagles in a stellar fashion! Atticus Crawford was the MVP for the Eagles, while McKay Godwin boogied the boogeymen to the win.
Today on the best field, Field 1, Hails and Jack's Shark Attacks took the win over Walter and Walker's Walruses. From the Shark Attacks, Quinn McMillan played like the best kickballer east of the Mississippi. While James Jenkins played like the wisest walrus!
Today, Oak Ridge came down to the Bucking Bull and had a competition for the longest rider! Our top three riders were Helen Helms with 50.49 seconds, Liv Slade with 1 minute and 19.08 seconds, and Annie Kate Beville with 1 minute and 54.01 seconds. Then Oak Ridge competed to see who has the best and most cowboy -esque "Yee-Haw", and our champion was Rennie Houser.
Today at the Camp Mac fishing hole Julianna Tidwell, and William McEvoy both caught one fish!
The boys of B-2 got to have some fun on the trampolines! Benjamin Walker won their high jump competition, and Danny Fenn won their game of Add-on!
Our lovely ladies in G-3 got to play a round of Putt Putt! Mamie Langley, Annie Connolly, Emma Evans, Emmy Barron, Lawson Kimbrel, and Elise Bengtson showed off their skills by making Hole in Ones on the Camp Mac Green!
From the Dining Hall For lunch, we had burgers and fries with chocolate chip cookies. And to end the day, we had chicken fingers, mashed potatoes with gravy, and green beans. For dessert, we had brownies.
Allen McBride gave our message tonight.
The girls had Rec Hall!
The boys had Bombardment!
