Morning Activities
Wilderness Skills
Today at Wilderness Skills, the boys came down and we had a Wood Collecting Competition. From the Drovers, Jeb Braxton won. For the Wranglers, Hampton Long won. From the Rough Riders, Ian Baldassarri won. For the Dudes, Jasper Moore won.
Swimming
Today at Swimming, the girls came down and did the Breaststroke Relay and the Obstacle Course. From the Rookies, Sarah’s Rapid Swimmers won. From JV, The Kachows won. From the Hotshots, Sarah’s Super Penguins were victorious. From Varsity, “Bring Kachow Back” had the fastest Obstacle Course time.
Fun and Games
Today at Fun and Games, the girls came down to the Ole Camp Mac Gym and raced their way through the abominable, unfathomable, inflatable Obstacle Course. In the 1st Period, the Dirty Socks were too dirty for the Inflata-Bulldozers to handle. In 2nd Period, the Toe Graspers were too Doggalicious for the Dawgs and they grasped the dub. In 3rd Period, the Marvelous Maniacs destroyed the “Krazies with a K and a Z” in a krazy race. In 4th Period, the Party Parrots gobbled up the Spicy Chicken Biscuits. Today’s winner of the “ratta-tatta-ratta-tatta win a big ole cowboy hatta” was Ella Martin!
Team Sports
Today at Team Sports, we played some Bombardment. From JV, the Chicken Nuggets defeated the Grilled Cheeses and the MVP was Mali Brown. From the Hotshots, The Chip and Dales took the dub over the Baconetts and the MVPs wee Gigi Beale and Emily Elliot. From Varsity, Lake Cabin defeated the Fiji Slayerz and the MVP was Ivey Marston. From the Rookies, Dynamite demolished the Pidgeons and the MVP was Annie Carrington. Today’s winner of the “winna winna chicken dinna” was Gigi Beale!
League Games
On the Sweaty Court 1, Margret’s Mountain Moose Pack defeated Andy’s Flashes in a LITERALLY nail-biting game of Newcomb. From the Flashes, Ella Martin played like the Flash, and from the Moose Pack, Mali Brown played like a Young Buck Moose.
On the Sunny Field 1, The Ford Wheels lost in an intense game of Softball to the Emma Lou Who’s. From the Lou Who’s, Grace Henderson played like a young Madison Yi. From the Ford Wheels, Caroline Wyatt played like a Kentucky Softball Star.
On the Dry Field 2, Gabby’s Gators chomped on Sarah Kate’s Corn Dogs. From the Corn Dogs, the MVP was Anne Frances Kinney, and from the Gators, Lena Daley ran from base to base like the fastest gator swimming in the water.
On the Soccer Field, Rylan’s Rowdy Rhinos tied with Kate’s Lil Macs. From the Rhinos, Libby Nash played like a young Margret Adkins. From the Macs, Annie Carrington played like a Big Mac.
Cabin Time
Putt-Putt
Today for Cabin Time, B-4 came down to the Camp Mac Green and hit some balls. The winner of the Hole in One Contest was Bennett Kirk and the winner of the Dropout Contest was Colton Kaiser!
Electives
Dance
Today at Dance, the girls played some Freeze Dance and the winners were Maggie Elliot and Mary Burkhalter!
Putt-Putt
Today at Putt-Putt, we had a Hole in One Competition and a Dropout Contest. In third place for the Hole in One Competition, Jackson Parker and Brock Wallace each got 1 Hole in One. In second, Liles Garrett and Robert Strange each got 2 Hole in Ones. In first, Ledge Searcy got 4 Hole in Ones! The winners of the Dropout Contest were Robert Strange and Ledge Searcy.
Today at the Camp Mac Green, the girls also came down and they had a Green and White Competition! It was very close, but the Green Team won! Also, Maggie Moore, Caroline Wyatt, and Fair Taylor all got a Hole in One!
Fishing
Today at Fishing, the boys came to the Good Ole Camp Mac Fishing Hole and caught some fish. Jack Carl caught 1 fish, Arthur Pouncey caught 2, Will Vosburg caught 4, and Pierson Kirk caught 2 fish and a snapping turtle!
Tennis
Today at Girls Tennis, Mali Brown won two rounds of Cricket in the Gage. Anne Margaret Wilkinson and Sofie Bynum won the Partner Pass Contest.
Mountain Biking
Today at Mountain Biking, we had a Reverse Race and played King of the Court. Ian Sweeney won the Reverse Race and Graham Ward and Hank Stone become Co-Kings of the Court in a nail-biting tie. Also, everyone passed their Trail Test!
Tramps
Today the boys came down to Tramps and passed off some classes. Wells Simmons, Eli Sweeney, Harrison Walker, Matt Vosburg, Callan Rainer, Mikey Brown, Jack Carlin,, Hudson Brogan, James Mitchell, and Henry Vosburg all passed off 3rd Class. Joe Garrett and Price Williams both passed off 3rd and 2nd Class. Sam Taylor passed off 3rd, 2nd, and 1st class!
Bucking Bull
Today G-5 came down to the Bull and we had a Top Rider Competition! In Third, Addie Coe stayed on for 1 minute and 4 seconds. In Second, Lottie Badham got 1 minute and 8 seconds. In First, Sarah Catherine Humphreys got 1 minute and 22 seconds.
Advanced Power Boating
Today at Advanced Power Boating, the boys and girls both practiced docking the boat. For the boys, the camper with the least bad docking maneuver was Basil Zafiris. From the girls, the camper with the least bad docking maneuver was Kate Fitzpatrick. The girls also played a game called “Keep One Hand on the Wheel and the Other on the Throttle… Please” and magically, after we started playing, no one took their hand off! Everyone won!
From the Dining Hall This morning, we had the famous Camp Mac Breakfast. For lunch, we had Barbecue Sandwiches with Tater Tots and a Salad Bar. And to end the day, we had Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Texas Toast and chocolate cake.
